Van Leeuwen is looking for a Permits + Licensing Coordinator to join our Development team. You will work closely with the growing team at Van Leeuwen Ice Cream as we embark on our next stage of accelerated growth. This role will work closely with the VP of Store Development to prepare and track comprehensive project communications, proposals, permit requests, vendor contracts, lease agreements, brand standards & more.

This role will be based out of our Williamsburg, Brooklyn office and follow Van Leeuwen's Hybrid work model and be in office at least two to three days a week.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Manage the CPR including lease trigger dates, permitting, design schedule and construction time lines
  • Manage communications and coordinate permits + licensing notices
  • Maintain executed permit + licensing tracking system
  • Support Store Development in terms of timeline estimates, local municipality requirements and managing permits submittals
  • Manage and renew DOH permits, as required
  • Manage all NSO utility account set up and hand off to OPS
  • Assist in the application process for required licenses and permits
  • Coordinate all legal closeout documentation for all projects, ensuring all items are in order for final completion, acting as a liaison with respective landlords and contractors
  • Document walks, meetings, and updates and communicates to Store Development leadership

JOB REQUIREMENTS

  • At least 2-5 years of experience in a similar role supporting construction related activities; store development experience preferred
  • Very strong organizational skills with attention to detail and the ability to multitask a must.
  • A passion for ice cream
  • A strong customer service attitude and willingness to work as part of a team
  • A desire to learn, grow, and develop professionally
  • Strong working knowledge of Excel; experience with G Suite (Google Drive, Docs, etc.), Smartsheets experience a plus
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Salary Range
$80,000$95,000 USD
