Hill House Home is seeking an experienced Merchandise Manager / Sr. Merchandise Manager to join our New York team, reporting directly to the Director of Merchandising. This role is responsible for leading seasonal product strategy and assortment planning across key product categories. The Merchandising Manager will drive category vision, partner cross-functionally to bring product to market, and ensure product strategies support both consumer demand and financial targets.
What You’ll Do:
- Develop and oversee seasonal product strategies and assortments across all product offerings, ensuring alignment with consumer preferences and financial objectives.
- Lead execution of product lifecycle, including pricing, markdown and margin plans that maximize profitability.
- Collaborate closely with Design and Product Development to ensure product assortments meet account and market needs.
- Communicate product strategies and inspire alignment across cross-functional teams including Design, Planning, Marketing, and Sales.
- Drive segmentation strategies at the category and channel level to foster differentiation and sustainable growth across all channels.
- Analyze and present business performance data, providing actionable insights that guide both short-term and long-term strategies.
- Conduct market deep-dives to identify opportunities, leveraging insights to shape seasonal frameworks, trend responses, and category visions.
- Provide strategic leadership and mentorship to the merchandising team, promoting innovation, consumer focus, and continuous improvement.
Who You Are:
- 5-7+ years of experience in merchandising or buying, RTW experience preferred
- Strong strategic merchandising and assortment planning skillset.
- Highly analytical with strong Excel and data storytelling capabilities.
- Proven ability to influence cross-functional partners and drive alignment across multiple stakeholders.
- Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple seasons and timelines simultaneously.
- Comfortable operating in a fast-paced, evolving environment with shifting priorities.
- Strong product intuition and passion for consumer-led product strategy.
Compensation for the role will be determined based on the candidate's qualifications, skills, and experience. The estimated annual compensation for this role is $100,000+
