Director of Brand Marketing

We are seeking a strategic, highly organized, and creatively minded marketing leader to guide brand storytelling and oversee key functions across creator marketing, photoshoot production, social media, and PR. This role shapes the brand’s voice, visual identity, and cultural footprint, working closely with leadership and cross-functional partners. The ideal candidate blends strategic thinking with hands-on execution and is energized by a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
What You’ll Do:
Brand Marketing and Campaign Strategy
- Define and drive seasonal campaign narratives and go-to-market plans.
- Partner with creative, merchandising, and leadership to align on messaging, positioning, and key brand moments, including in-person activations or events.
- Ensure consistency of brand voice and visual identity across all customer touchpoints.
- Manage the brand marketing budget and quarterly planning process.
Photoshoot Production (E-Comm and Editorial)
- Oversee the creative vision, briefs, shot lists, and timelines for all shoots.
- Partner with internal teams and external production partners to ensure efficient execution.
- Lead on-set direction to maintain brand standards and ensure high-quality output.
- Oversee the post-production review process, including feedback cycles and final asset selection.
Creator Marketing
- Lead overall creator and influencer strategy in partnership with the external creator agency.
- Set objectives, creative direction, and performance goals for all creator initiatives.
- Provide strategic guidance on creator selection and partnership structures, with negotiation and execution handled by agency and junior team support.
- Oversee the approach to influencer seeding, ensuring day-to-day responsibilities are managed by internal team members
- Guide the brand’s affiliate strategy and performance goals in partnership with the Growth Marketing team, with day-to-day management supported by the coordinator and agency partners.
Social Media
- Set the overarching social media strategy and channel priorities, ensuring alignment with brand goals and cultural moments.
- Provide direction on content themes, storytelling approach, and weekly/monthly planning, with day-to-day calendars built by the social team.
- Review and approve key creative concepts, video directions, and copy to maintain brand voice and quality.
- Oversee performance analysis and guide optimizations, with reporting and insights prepared by the social team.
- Define the community management approach, with daily engagement and moderation handled by internal team members
Collaborations
- Partner closely with design, merchandising, operations, and PR to bring collaborations to market.
- Own campaign planning, messaging, and content needs.
- Ensure cross-functional alignment throughout the development and launch process.
PR Agency Management
- Act as the primary liaison for the external PR agency.
- Set strategic direction on brand priorities, key messages, and launch storylines.
- Guide agency partners on pitch approaches and press opportunities; review high-impact materials for alignment.
- Evaluate earned media performance, narrative traction, and visibility goals in partnership with the agency.
Executive Partnership
- Collaborate closely with the CEO on brand communications and key initiatives.
- Support preparation for media appearances, events, and stakeholder engagements.
Who You Are:
- 7+ years of experience in marketing, brand management, or communications in consumer, fashion, or lifestyle.
- Strong background leading creator programs, content development, and campaign execution.
- Experience overseeing production, social, and PR partners.
- Exceptional communication and copy refinement skills with a strong brand voice.
- Highly organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable managing many concurrent workstreams.
- Strong creative judgment and understanding of visual storytelling.
- Experience working with senior leaders and high-visibility stakeholders.
Compensation for the role will be determined based on the candidate's qualifications, skills, and experience. The estimated annual compensation for this role is $145,000 +
